Volunteer
2025 Volunteer Sign-Ups are now open!
Become a Festival Volunteer! Help us make the magic happen.
Volunteers are the heartbeat of the Winthrop Rhythm & Blues Festival — and we couldn’t do it without you! From helping in the beer garden to keeping the grounds groovin’, volunteers jump in to help with everything: building the festival, front gate, site setup, infield entrances, recycling, putting the festival to bed and more. If you’re ready to lend a hand and join our incredible festival family, you’re in the right place!
Perks? Oh yes.
In exchange for your time and positive vibes, you’ll get:
🌟 Free admission to the festival
🏕️ A camping spot (if you need one)
👕 An official volunteer T-shirt to rock during your shifts
❤️ Our endless gratitude!
How It Works:
Apply Early– Volunteer spots go fast and are first-come, first-serve.
Get Scheduled– We’ll be in touch to line up your shifts.
Confirm – Once scheduled, you’ll receive a Volunteer Agreement (including a hold harmless doc) and a link to upload your photo ID.
Volunteer Guidelines:
To keep the good times rolling smoothly, here’s what we expect from our awesome volunteer crew:
✔️ Follow the Festival Rules — including any health/safety protocols in place during the event
✔️ Be a Positive Ambassador — you’re representing the festival, so bring your best self
✔️ Age Matters — volunteers must be 18+, and 21+ to pour in the beer garden (bring valid photo ID)
✔️ Stick to Your Shifts — complete all your scheduled tasks respectfully and responsibly
✔️ Wear Your Volunteer Tee — it’s your backstage pass during your shifts
✔️ Stay Safe — Closed-toe shoes are required during all shifts. The use of drugs is strictly prohibited at all times during the festival. Alcohol is not permitted while you’re on shift or wearing your volunteer T-shirt — but if you’re 21+, you’re welcome to enjoy responsibly when you’re off duty.
✔️ Be Ready for Action — tasks might include standing for long periods, lifting, walking, and working outside in the sun
✔️ Respect the Gig — if you don’t complete your shifts, you’ll be asked to leave and won’t be eligible to volunteer in the future
Stay tuned and be ready — we can’t wait to have you on the team. Let’s make 2025 unforgettable!
