Sean ‘Mack’ McDonald, a 23-year-old guitarist, is on a mission to bring blues back to the forefront of the music scene. His show is a soulful journey that takes you back to the roots of American music, showcasing the timeless power of the blues through his electrifying performances.

Born in Augusta, Georgia, he was introduced to music through church, relatives, and family friends. He started playing drums at age 2 and piano at 3, after hearing Ray Charles. At 7, he began teaching himself guitar.

Sean Mack gained attention when he was recorded playing guitar in an Augusta, Georgia music store, where he performed a rendition of Robert Johnson’s “Dust My Broom”. He’s become known for his traditional blues style and performances. His mastery spans a range of blues styles, performing traditional blues from the late 40s to the early 60s, with influences from Bobby Blue Bland, Louis Jordan, T-Bone Walker, and early BB King. He also incorporates music from more underrated musicians like Bill Jennings and Pete “Guitar” Lewis.

Sean Mack recently graduated from Middle Tennessee State University, majoring in audio production and minoring in music. Prioritizing his education was paramount to Sean Mack but now that he’s done, he’s begun touring and performing full time.
