The Revival Brothers Band

The Revival Brothers Band

The Revival Brothers Band pays tribute to the distinctive sounds of southern rock mixed with blues. A tribute to the iconic Allman Brothers Band!

The Revival Brothers Band, made up of legends of the Portland, Oregon music scene, pays reverent tribute to the Allman Brothers and their incredible legacy of iconic music. The band was formed in January 2023 by drummer Jeff Frankel. In its short existence, it has won the Cascade Blues Association’s prestigious Muddy Award for Performance of the Year (2023) and currently plays sold-out shows throughout the region. The Revival Brothers assert that, whether you’re an Allman Brothers fan or not, they will “take you on a journey back in time when going to hear music was a celebration.”

Besides Frankel, the band includes a who’s who of Portland’s best and brightest. Brady Goss, on keys and vocals, has been touring the West Coast for over a decade and is well known for his energetic and engaging shows that hearken back to Goss’s original inspiration, Jerry Lee Lewis. Chuk Barber has played drums for over six decades, including stints with Dr. John, The Neville Brothers and Sun Ra. Kevin Selfe is one of Oregon’s most instantly recognizable guitarists and is a two-time inductee into the Cascade Blues Association Hall of Fame for Electric Guitar and Traditional Blues Act. Justin Defreece is a sought-after session player who is renowned for guitar but also plays keyboard, bass, mandolin, and fiddle. Bassist Timmer Blakley, owner of Lightning In A Bottle Records, is also an exceptional producer, composer, and performer. Drummer Jerry Jaques is a veteran of the San Francisco scene and was in the backing band for the club Slims, owned by Boz Scaggs, where he backed Boz, Bonnie Raitt, Clarence Clemons, Todd Rundgren, and many others.
