Luke Winslow-King & Roberto Luti

Luke Winslow-King & Roberto Luti

“Seamlessly melds Delta blues, gospel and jazz themes with personal, simplified lyrics that speak to his personal and artistic evolution.” — New York Times

Luke Winslow-King is a rock & roll guitarist, singer, producer and songwriter who was named “Best Blues Artist” by Gambit Magazine. He was named a voting member of the Grammy Recording Academy in 2022. Now living in Spain, he continues to pursue his global pursuit; delivering honest, powerful, rustic and authentic people’s music on stage and recordings alike.

The Luke Winslow-King Band features Tuscan guitar maestro Roberto Luti. With his unorthodox, angular and evocative slide guitar style, Luti made a name for himself during his nearly decade-long residency in New Orleans. He became an integral part of the international recording project Playing For Change; laying original tracks for songs that have amassed over 100 million views on YouTube in collaboration with Taj Mahal, Keb Mo, Buddy Guy, Keith Richards, Ringo Starr, Manu Chao, Toots and the Maytalls, and Dr. John.

The Luke Winslow King Band (with Roberto Luti) has been on tour for 15 years and has performed extensively in North America and Europe. Their approach to rural and hill country blues contains a certain reverence, a respect, and a bittersweetness not often heard in the modern day. Winslow-King’s most recent full-length album, Flash-A-Magic, features Al Green and Fat Possum recording artists The Sensational Barnes Brothers.

Winthrop blues fans can expect the sincere and heartfelt roots blues stylings Winslow-King has become known for, showcased alongside his continual artistic reinvention. The Luke Winslow-King & Roberto Luti project celebrates musical collaboration, artistic growth, and an enduring renegade spirit. Fans are encouraged to attend and take part as Luke and Roberto unveil a new chapter in their musical journey.
