The Greg Marshall Band- Always greatly anticipated, this event is #1 on our must see list. Who can forget the steamy, rocking blues show brought on by Bobby Rush a few years ago. This show is a must see for all men! We'll see all you fellow blues fans there again this year!

I had a great time at the festival. Even tho I had a bad cold and spent a lot of time sleeping in the RV. I would wake up from my cat naps to the blues and fall asleep to the blues. What could be better than that? I've always thought the Blues was about healing. I went home cured. Looking to be cured again at this years fest!

It's a blast working with you all putting this festival together. Congratulations to our own Mr. Tom Hunnewell, Winthrop's official photographer, who was honored with a BB Award at the Washington Blues Society BB Awards on Sunday night. Tom received recognition for his photo montage taken at the Paul deLay Memorial last May. And congrats to Polly Okeary for receiving a BB for Best Female Blues Vocalist and Best Blues Songwriter. Be sure to check out Polly in our Beer Garden Jams and on center stage Sunday afternoon of the festival. And congrats to Sunbanks Blues Festival for their BB Award win for Best Blues Festival. Just letting you know that on Thursday 7th February 2008 at the AUSTRALIAN BLUES MUSIC "CHAIN" AWARDS, presented as part of the Australian Blues Music Festival held in Goulburn, Australia , Queensland Bluesman Sugarcane Collins was presented with a "CHAIN" for AUSTRALIAN BLUES ALBUM OF THE YEAR for his universally acclaimed blues album WAY DOWN THE RIVER . Sugarcane was in Goulburn to receive his award. Says Sugarcane " As Willie Dixon once said ' the blues is the roots - everything else is the fruits'. Well these fruits sure taste sweet to me!" I went in 2007 with my friend. He had won 2 tickets from the Cascade Blues Association Monthly Meeting. I had the best time ever! wow, what an experience. Being outdoors all weekend! And the music was great the people were really nice and the whole atmosphere was remarkable. I definitely would recommend this event as the most fun place to be! It doesn't get better than this!

Hi, This weekend was our first time!  We had a great time.  All the volunteers were excellent - knowledgeable anytime I had a question.  The fellow campers were lots of fun.  We especially enjoyed Ryan Harder (this morning). I was worried about the bathroom situation but the "number 1 in the number 2" people were great.  We're coming back next year with more friends. Thanks for the party.

Another great festival. Had the perfect balance of good weather, blues, brews. Seeing Anthony Gomes tear it up Saturday night at the late night jam, just got me warmed up for him sunday. And Tommy Castro Band (my favorite kicked some booty. But I got to say Jason Ricci + band was my personnel favorite. He made sounds from his harp that I never heard before.
GREAT FESTIVAL AND SEE YOU NEXT YEAR.
One negitive note: The friday night street dance, with there gustopo cops busting people for open container, was B.S. They should of gave warnings not tickets. Bush legue cops. Get A Life

The yellow shirts have finally done me in - after more than 10 years of regular attendance, we won't be back again. You really should get a handle on the security nuts. We'll be staying on the Coast next summer and will try one of the other blues events. Too bad, I do have fond memories of years past.
